Many of the families I photograph have young children and they want to capture their growing family in the early years. But before you know it, the kids are teens, busy with school and part-time jobs or maybe already have left home for college or venture out into the working world. And because of this family photos have been put to the side due to activities and schedules of an older family.
Last Fall I was in Quesnel doing some school photos, and my sweet friend Donna told me she really wanted to get her family photos done the next time I came to town. Her kids are growing up – its already been 3 years since I photographed Kayla’s grad! And although Mitch is still in high school, we know how fast those years fly.
Finally in June we made this a reality! They walked, laughed, cuddled (Joe loved every minute of it) and even tried some piggy backs and arm wrestling. It is never too late to get your family together, with the recent events this summer, we are reminded how important these memories are, more important that material things.
