Make an impression

Do you have a professional headshot? If not, what kind of professional impression are you making? If your profile picture on your website, blog or any other social media account is older than 5 years old, it is time for an update! Click here to see more examples of my commercial work.

You only get one chance to make a first impression. I know, it sounds cliché, but it is so true. Especially in business! Say you are providing a business service. Can your clients check you out on social media or your website before they meet you in person?  What happens the first time you meet them in person? Do they ask for you without realizing they are speaking to you? Or do they walk right past you at a coffee shop meeting? Awkward…

Corporate Headshot

For a simple headshot, most of my corporate clients require a white or grey backdrop. But I LOVE it when my clients let me try a few extra shots with my black back drop, it adds a sense of elegance and luxury to a typical headshot.  Head shots may be simple, but they don’t have to be boring! Thank you to Matthew Griffin (Fraser Financial), Dena Bryan (Lawyer & Mediator) and Sonja Thomas (Travelwise) for being willing to try something a little different for your corporate image.

Personal Branding

My favorite commercial shoot has to be a personal branding styled session. This type of session is much, much more than a headshot. These images are meant to show every side of your persona. Personal branding allows your clients see who you really are.  Where you work, where you live, where you play. You are your brand.

Check out these fun images with Renee Potvin, Owner of Wild Sage Events. If you, or someone you know is getting married, meeting with Renee should be on the top of your list! She will make your wedding day beautiful AND stress free!

Products and Services

And lastly, not only do your clients need to see you, they need to see what you are selling. Product images can be simply shot on a white back drop. Or we can do something really fun and show them in action. Sparrow Hat Company owner, Michelle Gredling and I planned a very intense photoshoot carried out over 4 days in several locations all over Kamloops. Do you recognize any of the locations? This shoot included in studio and on location shots with our gorgeous model Taylor Klapstein. Be sure to watch for future posts with more details from this fabulous shoot.

So, if your headshot is older than 5 years, 10 years, or you can’t even remember the date it was taken, then we need to talk! If your profile picture is a selfie or your wedding photo, we REALLY need to talk! Of course, if you have an awesome product you are trying to market, I would love to help you create images that suit your marketing plan! And if you need images to blow up your Instagram feed, we can set up a styled shoot that will fill your needs!
