Every woman I photograph is different. The fun part is bringing the beauty out so everyone can see it. The elegant Amanda is in her 20’s and has a sense of humour I can totally relate to! This whimsical Kamloops boudoir photo shoot was a pleasure to do.

There is an innocence and feeling of French influence to this first photo I just love. It shows just how a few props can set an incredible scene with Amanda of course being the highlight.

Black and white boudoir photography is such a mood setting game changer. I love how comfortable Amanda looks just hanging out in super sexy lingerie with those stilettos still on. She looks off to the distance as though she’s just in the midst of thinking. A beautiful memory that has swept her up in the moment.

This incredibly sensual and inviting picture is stunning. It shows off her unending curves. With her hair running off the bed and down to the ground, it’s like she’s lost herself. She waits for the one that she loves perhaps?

Playing with sheers and light is a great way to create a whimsical, sensual feel to a boudoir shoot. There is a great deal of wonderful mystery here.  Maybe it’s her lovely lace and satin robe. The black stilettos indicate this is no picture of innocence however. There is a contradiction of naughty and nice within this artistic piece.

This photo brought out Amanda’s sensual and playful side. It is not all serious business during a boudoir photo shoot.

Art in it’s purest form. Amanda has beautiful skin and a lovely face. This image is sweet, innocent, and showcases her youth.

The shot is simple and yet there is so much going on. Amanda has an expressive face. She can easily look contemplative, sultry, playful. There is a lot of interesting light being played off to created the mood as well.

There is just such a feminine power to this pose. It’s a release of control and a willingness to bare your body to someone. It’s a classy way of showing sexuality. There is exposure in all the right spots. These are the kinds of images men write poems.

Amanda’s features begged for me to do this close up. Her hair and eyes pop out while lights glow in the background.

Amanda baring her shoulders. Look at those fabulous lashes? Her freckles kissing her shoulders is so sensual as lace falls away.

In Amanda’s own words…

Have you ever had a boudoir photo session? Yes or no, what made you decide to book your boudoir session with Photoheart Studios instead of another studio?

Yes I have had one with another photographer a while ago. But having known Paula for quite some time there was a comfort level I don’t think I could have obtained with another photographer.

How did you feel before going to your shoot? Any particular thoughts or concerns?

I’ve never enjoyed having my photo taken and have struggled with my body image for many, many years. Going in I was worried I would shatter the camera lens or that none of the photos would look good, despite Paula’s phenomenal photography skills.

What was your favorite thing about your photo shoot experience?

It was fun! The studio was inviting and Paula’s warmth allowed for a sense of ease. Trying out all the poses and being able to laugh at some poses added to the fun too! Also, walking around in your lingerie is surprisingly liberating!

Is there anything you would do differently now that you have experienced a boudoir session?

I would allow myself to loosen up more in front of the camera. I was definitely at ease and comfortable with Paula, but I was still in my head. Once I saw the final results I realized I worried for no reason.

What would you tell other women who are considering doing a boudoir shoot?

Just do it! You start out feeling shy and awkward but by the end you will leave feeling like a goddess. I once read that if you truly want to know how you look, take a photo. I found that viewing even the unedited photos in my personal gallery left me with a new level of physical confidence I never felt I in the past.

Anything else you would like to add?

Seriously, do it! You owe it to yourself. You’re more beautiful than you think.

Thank you for sharing your experience Amanda! I know we definitely had a lot of laughs during this session! You made my job so easy!
